Psalms
Mandarin
Classes begin January 12, 2026.
The Book of Psalms is a collection of songs written from the soul. In it are weeping in the night and shouts of joy in the morning; lonely pleas in the wilderness and glorious praise in the temple. As life rises and falls like the tide, the Psalms accompany us in the language of poetry, leading us from lament to hope, from weakness to strength. You are warmly welcome to join us on this journey of the heart.
Through visions, symbolic acts, and oracles, the Book of Ezekiel reveals God’s judgment on Israel’s sin, His call to holiness, and His promise of future restoration. Combining striking visual imagery with profound theological content, it is a key book for understanding Old Testament prophecy and apocalyptic literature. We eagerly look forward to exploring with you God’s revelation in visions.
Jeremiah is the longest of the Major Prophets. The prophet Jeremiah was commissioned as the nation was collapsing, to deliver God’s message of judgment. By then the northern kingdom of Israel had long since fallen, yet the southern kingdom of Judah still would not wake up. The prophet pressed on with difficulty between the people’s patriotic ideals and God’s righteous judgment. Join us in exploring the earnest teaching of this weeping prophet and hearing the message he proclaimed in a time of national crisis.
The main thread of Old Testament history is the history of the ancient Hebrew people. Understanding how ancient history unfolded helps us study the Old Testament better and know the one true God in whom we believe.

Proverbs
Mandarin
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.” (Proverbs 9:10) This is the purpose of Proverbs. It is practical wisdom distilled from the author’s deep experience of faith and the trials of life, teaching people to live in the fear of God, for God is the source of all true wisdom (see Proverbs 1:7).

Revelation
Cantonese
Revelation, written by the apostle John, is the final book of the Bible. It is full of God’s revelation: scenes of the end times, the witness of the church, unprecedented persecution, Armageddon, the rapture of the church, the judgment seat, the return of Christ, the millennial kingdom, the new heaven and new earth, and the blessed joy of believers dwelling with God forever. In class we interpret its symbols together, understand their spiritual meaning, and build up faith and hope for the last days.
The Book of Acts gives a systematic account of the origins of the church: the founding of the church, the spread of the gospel, and the apostles’ pattern of diligent evangelism. Join 4C in exploring the origins of the church.

The Life of Jesus Christ
Mandarin
Why study the life of Jesus Christ? Because Jesus Christ is “the only salvation under heaven given among men,” and it is because of Him that we believers can enjoy satisfaction of soul and the blessed joy of heaven.

Christian Church History
Mandarin
Taught by Rev. Ping Fang. Part 1: 4/13–6/30; Part 2: 9/14–12/14. Mondays, 1:00–4:00 p.m. (Central Time), online via Zoom. Registration deadline: 4/10.
The Christian faith is grounded in doctrine and woven through history. God accomplished His great work of revelation and redemption in history, and carries out redemption in history. Human history has therefore become the history of God’s redemption. History points toward a sacred purpose and bears witness to that purpose. Walking through the corridor of Christian history, we can glimpse God’s “footprints” and discern the true meaning of historical events.
The Intertestamental PeriodIntertestamental Period
Mandarin
The intertestamental period covers the more than four hundred years from the close of the Old Testament (about 400 B.C.) to the early writing of the New Testament (about A.D. 50); church historians call it the period “between the Testaments.” It has been called the “dark age” of ancient Israel’s history, because God raised up no prophet or inspired writer to give even a single word. Would you like to know what God’s chosen people went through during this time? Would you like to see how God exercised His sovereignty in silence? You are welcome to join the class.
